He is one of the wealthy person in the world, CEO of a big organization, where millions of people are working around the world. He is Bill Gates. He has made a mark in the world with his knowledge in the technology, but we will look into the tender side of Bill Gates who is contributing a part of his earnings for the underprivileged people who does not have enough facilities for their teaching.

Bill and Melinda Gates establishment, a nonprofit organization formed by Bill Gates and his wife Melinda Gates. The main aim of this institution is to remove deprivation by enhancing educational opportunities and financial aid for students coming from unfortunate families. There are a lot of students who belongs to different ethnic groups including Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanics and Asian and Pacific Island have privileged with the scholarship provided by Bill Gates foundation. The scholarship varies according to the module, the students are studying for.

The activities of the establishment varies according to the target. For historically black colleges, the organization provides payment according to their need.

Gates Millennium Scholars Program is the main attraction for students. It is given to students who are excellent in their studious subject but are from low income families. The foundation does not insist a lot of form filling process to provide these scholarships.

There is no hard and fast rules on the eligibility criteria for the student. A grade of 3.3 or a GED or even a graduate degree can make you eligible for the scholarship. This is how the program varies from other scholarship programs.

The main aim of the charity is to make the field of science and technology to reach all area of the society. The information and technology should not be denied to anyone. Hence the scholarship does not have the barrier of nationality. It is given to all who have a permanent residence license to US.

The scholarship provided by establishment does not cover the entire fees of any of the courses for which the students are studying for. But it will help the families to reduce their burden and teach their children. The graduate student will receive $15000/year while an undergraduate student gets $7000/year for pursuing their studies.

The students can get an on campus job or try to get any other scholarship in addition to the scholarship provided by Gate foundation. This will relieve them from the burden of student loan and can peacefully complete the course.
